Dayara Bugyal trek is located at an altitude of 12,100 Ft. and and a distance of 22 km and takes 6 days to complete. This trek is perfect for both beginners and experienced trekkers. This trek is a highland meadow situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The lush green meadow is a perfect location for skiing during winters when the whole grassland is covered with snow. Located amidst the snow-covered mountains, Dayara Bugyal gives the most breath-taking views. You can catch glimpses of Barnala Tal and the Himalayan ranges like Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, Shrikhand Mahadev, Srikanth peak and Gangotri peaks can be enjoyed when you reach the peak. The trek is filled with lush carpet of wildflowers, maple forests, rhododendron flowers and sparkling misty valleys. The Journey The trek will start from Dehradun to drive to Raithal Village which is 180 Kms and takes around 7 hours to reach. Next morning, the trek starts from Raithal Village to Gui, the trail will be filled with huge oak trees. On day 3 continue from Gui to Chelapada, explore the area and the next day get ready to climb the dayara peak and then back to the campsite of Gui. on day 5, trek back to Raithal village and on the last day, drive back to Dehradun with lots of memories and new friendships

- Dehradun to Raithal Village
Height – 7,400 ft
Distance – 180km
Time – 6-7 hoursThis is day 1 of the Dayara Bugyal Trek. All visitors will meet the team early in the morning in Dehradun, where the drive to Raithal Village (base camp of Dayara Bugyal) will begin. The village is 108 kms and takes 6-7 hours to reach. Raithal is a beautiful village with lush green land and the Bhagirathi River flowing through it. Our path will cross Raithal, you will get glimpses of the Gangotri range, Shrikanth peak from Moryana top. As you approach closer to Raithal, you can catch view of Shrikanth peak. Stay the night in the hotel
- Raithal to Gui
Height – 7,400 to 9,500 ft
Distance – 3.5km
Time – 5 hours
Stay in tentsStart early in the morning to start the trek. You will be crossing a jungle filled with silver, gold oak trees. The trail will gradually ascend and will take around 5 hours to reach the campsite. The site is filled with alpine trees and huts and has clear views of Gangotri range and Shrikanth peak. Relax under the stars and stay at a hotel.
- Gui to Chilapada
Height – 9,500 to 9,800ft
Distance – 3km
Time – 2 hours
Stay in tentsToday will be hiking day, the trail will rise slowly through forests and the next camping site of Chelapada will arrive. During this small hike, you will find flowing streams and snow traces on the trail. You will get to see many peaks along the way. After refreshments, rest up or explore the area.
- Chelapada to Dayara top then back to Gui
Height – 9,800ft to 12,100ft
Distance – 6 km (each way)
Time – 6-7 hoursToday will be for conquering the peak. You will go to the highest point and return back to the campsite. The trail will be filled with vast meadows, colorful flowers and lush grasslands. Walk through the beautiful views of Bandarpoonch and other peaks. The final climb will be a bit difficult and steep and after the physical strain, you will view the Dodital range. The trail will take you to the Gidara pass and it will divide to Pichkiya and Gidara Bugyal. Conquer the peak, and indulge into the serene beauty of snow covered mountains and the area all around you. Soak in the beauty and after spending enough time on the top, walk back to the campsite till lunch time.
- Gui to Raithal
Height – 9,900 to 7,400ft
Distance – 3.5 km
Time – 2 hours
Stay in hotelThe trek will end today with the descent to Raithal. Wake up early and start your way down. Raithal is a lively village where children and villagers will be seen wandering around. Stay the night in Raithal.
- Raithal to Dehradun
Leave Raithal by 6:30 am
Time – 6-7 hours drive to DehradunHave your morning tea in the village of Raithal and its time to head back to Dehradun. The drive will start early and in around 7-8 hours you will reach Dehradun and will be dropped to the railway station or airport as per your requirement.
